2. 
Micromax will release devices in Russia and Romania this year:



Micromax will launch its devices in Russia and Romania by the end of this year. Already a top-tier performer in its home market, the company aims to become a global hardware brand according to its co-founder Rahul Sharma.

Micromax has already set up shop in Russia, with employees lured from rival companies. The manufacturer will launch a couple of products designed specifically for the local market. The Russian company Yandex has partnered up with Micromax on app level.


3.  Hugh Jackman to be face of Micromax:


Hollywood actor Hugh Jackman, who is well-known for playing the role of Wolverine in the X-Men movie series as well as winning an Academy award nomination for the musical Les Miserables, will be associated with the Indian consumer electronics company, a Micromax statement said on Friday.
Mr. Jackman will be seen endorsing the soon-to-be-launched Micromax smartphone called Canvas Turbo, which is part of the Canvas series of smartphones for Micromax.
Micromax manufactures hand-held devices such as mobile phones, tablets and LED computers.
While the financial details of the association were not disclosed, Chief Marketing Officer Shubhodip Pal said he was excited at the proposed association with Jackman.
