Samsung has different design for Galaxy Note 3

The Note II comes with a 5.5-inch display

With The IFA trade show around the corner, Samsung’s official announcement of the Galaxy Note 3 is fast approaching. The device officially sees the light of day on September 4.

While earlier leaked photos have only shown prototypes, how the finished piece would look like remained a mystery until now. It was earlier thought that the new phablet would be similar to its predecessors. A new patent, which was recently awarded to Samsung, seems to indicate that the company may have changed the design of the device a bit. The patent shows tapered ends as well-rounded top and bottom plates. This is slightly different from the normal Note design that has been seen in the past.

The phablet is expected to come with a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display, top-of-the-line Exynos 5 Octa-core or Snapdragon 800 SoC and 3GB of RAM. Additionally, the device should come with a 13 megapixel camera with Xenon flash, a 3200 mAh battery and the latest Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS. With just three weeks left to go, interested users don’t need to wait too long to find out for sure what all Samsung has actually done with the Galaxy Note 3.
