Top Non-Lethal Weapons, MUST KNOW

1.  The Taser Shotgun

Shotgun is cool but unfortunately the court of law is not too happy if you shoot someone in the face. Tasers on the other hand is something that the court allows you to carry and even use in case of emergency. Now, thing if both of these things are combined and voila, the inception of taser shotgun. The Extended Range Electronic Projectile weapon fires shell-like electro cartridges with barbs in front that, once fired, bore deep into the target’s skin and administer a 20-second shock of 500V.  The weapon is apparently effective up to 100ft.

2. The Chili Grenade

Innovation of military folks never seems to stop. The Indian army came up with a clever idea, or at least they thought they did. The idea is to use Bhut Jolokia, only the hottest chili pepper in the world, in explosives that would burn the crap out of the enemy. They thought that pepper spray and tear gas is for wimps so why not use Bhut Jolokia. It is natural and free form regulations of chemical weapons and technically consumed by humans unlike other harmful chemical materials.

3.  The Thunder Generator

Originally designed by the farmers to scare off the birds, the Thunder Generator uses a mixture or gas and air to create a loud explosion. Now the Israeli forces want to aim that towards the people. It can be used as a crowd dispersing device if used. It is said that the weapon sends a powerful shock wave up to 100 meters. However, the weapon is lethal if used within the 10 m range.

4. The Speech Jammer

This is an interesting piece of equipment, the Speech Jammer. When aimed at someone, it hampers the ability of the person to speak. Freedom of speech is naturally everyone’s right but let us just get real for a minute here, not everything should be said. At times the topics or opinions are more of an “ear-rape” than conversations. In those moments you could use the Speech Jammer made by two Japanese researchers, Kazutaka Kurihaha and Koji Tsukada. What it does is that it records everything you say and shoots it back at you with a 200 millisecond delay. This for some reason is like kicking the ass of the speech center of your brain and you can’t say anything afterwards.

5. The PHASR

PHASR stands for Personnel Halting and Stimulation Response Rifle. It necessarily does not fit the specifications of a rifle since it does not kill people rather makes them temporarily blind. The idea is to target the enemy soldier and once he is blind, it is easier to put a bullet through him. Unfortunately, for now the device look more like an auxiliary item of an X-Box not fit for military use just yet.
