Windows 8.1 has now gotten a nice little boost just before its official launch. Facebook has now officially launched its app version for the OS.
Overall, the new app looks exactly how you would expect from Facebook, with the status, photo and check-in tabs prominently seen. Also featured is the standard chat interface, pinned to the right-hand side. The company has added the friend request, inbox and notification counters on the very top right. Also featured is a side pane on the left that will give the user easy access to the news feed, messages, event, friends and more.
Facebook has built in a number of Snap Views for this app, it does not seem to have enabled the smallest option for the same. This basically amounts to the user only snap close to 40 percent of the app window, according to the Verge. The approximate size of the download file is 11.1MB.
